[Danny Phantom Fic] Seedverse Dealing with Himself Part One of Two

Notes: This is part of my seed verse and part one takes place about five days after Ominous Signs and Part Two takes place on the night after.

Part One of Two

For the second morning he awoke on the floor of his bedroom instead of his bed. “Hello Vlad we need to talk,” a familiar voice said and he turned to see the copy of his ghost self standing there. “Just call me Plasmius as it makes things so much easier.”

“What are you doing here copy,” he said not about to let the copy dictate what he was called. “I would have thought you’d have the sense to stay away form me.” His spying on Danny and his friends had already told him everything he needed to know about what was going on.

“Listen Vlad, I’ve been extremely helpful to you so you should hear me out,” the copy said. “After all if not for me you’d have lost any chance to ever win Maddie’s love in the last two nights since your ghost seed self wants to do horrible things to young Daniel.”

“What do you mean,” he asked as the ghost headed to the tv and pressed play. He saw an orange skinned white haired version of his ghost form dressed in black outfit with white gloves and boots railing a bout how he was going to destroy Danny for standing in his way. “So you’ve kept him here how?”

“Portable ghost shield generator, I’ve been watching for this so I arranged to trap him each night but tomorrow at sunrise he gets free and we need to discuss our plans for him.” The copy said with a smile. “You see Vlad I think we should let him attack the boy and you swoop in and save him winning Maddie’s gratitude while I kill Jack by squeezing his heart.” The copy smiled then. “Maddie of course will mourn her husband but she will have you to lean on.” He couldn’t help but smile at the image it painted. “Then when her ghost seed emerges the ghost Maddie will be my bride while the real Maddie will be yours we both get what we want.”

“You know Plasmius you’ve got yourself a deal.” He said to his copy. “Tomorrow we will put everything in motion and Maddie will be mine.” He said and held out his hand. His copy shook his hand with an equally glad smile on his face.

He screamed and railed against the cage that held him the night was almost over and if he didn’t get free soon he’d be trapped alone as Masters fell to the ground. “Would you like me to release you?” The copy of the original ghost form said. “I’m more than willing you just have to do something for me.”

“Making a deal with me after making a deal with Masters?” He looked over at him. “He was a fool to trust you but then again he’s always been a fool letting his feelings for that woman keep him from just killing the boy.” The copy smiled brightly.

“Yes, he is a fool I’ve sense moved past such silly human emotions except for one envy I want to be the only Plasmius so I want Masters dead.” The copy smiled then. “But first I want him to see Danny Fenton die and you can do that both for me if I let you go.” The copy said and pushed a button lowering the ghost shield. “If you fly at top speed you’ll arrive just before sun rise and you can take out the boy as soon as Masters drops out of you it will be perfect.”

“Yes it will but first I’m taking you out,” he said lashing out with all his strength the copy exploded in a flash of light. “So just a duplicate it doesn’t matter I’ll find the real him later but first the boy and Masters will die.” He had to admit the plan to kill the boy in front of Masters who still at least pretended to want the boy as his son was a good idea.

Ominous Signs

He stood watching the Fenton Portal swirling amazed that his parents had gotten it back working so quickly . “At least this time we put the power switch on the outside where it belongs,” His mother said as she packed up the tools. “Not to mention how fortunate that grant was to getting everything back up and running.”

“I do wish we knew who the anonymous donor was I’d like to say thanks,” His dad said cheerfully and he privately wondered about the mysterious funding that had shown up. His parents finished putting away the tools and headed up stairs to clean up. He waited a few moments before he used his cell to call his ghostly double.

He was still creeped out by the guy as he watched him and the Green Dani lower down through the ceiling. “See ya later,” the green skinned version of Dani said and dove through the ghost portal.

He wished his double would dive in as well but so far he didn’t seem that interested in leaving despite saying he would once he had his powers back. His double suddenly froze and looked around. “There are a lot of ghost coming.” He said worriedly. He began to reach for some of the recently repaired weapons when a horde of ghost shot in and flew through the portal.

“Don’t mind us just passing through,” Vlad said as he lowered down. “Oh good ghost boy you’re here some friends of mine want to show you some things.” He said as he looked over at the ghost copy. “Ghost Kwan why don’t you go first.” He noticed a blue ghostly version of Kwan who smiled brightly and then duplicated eight times. He stared in shock at how unfair it was. He then watched as afterwards this really beautiful green skinned Ghost woman made an ectoplasm sculpture. The final ghost was a little bald man who tried to turn invisible and failed. “Better luck next time Bruce you three go join the other ghost seed creations of Amity Park in the ghost zone.” The woman, man and Kwans all shot into the ghost portal.

“What was the point of that Plasmius and where did all those ghost come from?” His ghostly double said angrily. He wished he had his powers back because being in the room with the copy of Vlad Plasmius and his own copy was a bit frightening without any powers.

“The point dear boy was to demonstrate the disturbing secret I’ve learned about the ghost seeds.” Plasmius said pointing toward the portal. “Those thirty ghost are the first ones to emerge and while they are all rather weak a few of them show extremely unusual powers for ghost of their power level.” Plasmius frowned at them. “Don’t you see boys anyone who’s ever interacted with a ghost like Kwan who was infected with a ghost power granting bug or Pamela who I over shadowed to make her vote for me retains some elements of the ghost they interacted with.” He looked at them as if they were idiots. “Only Bruce who only just moved to Amity park has no real powers to speak of.”

“All the kids at school, not to mention all the people I ... I mean you over shadowed,” his copy said looking down at him. “And all the people the original Vlad over shadowed will get a few traits from those ghost interactions?”

“It looks that way and it also looks like the complexity of the person affects how strong they are.” Plasmius said with an even deeper frown. “Most of these ghost have only silly superficial desires only Green Dani as you called her had any real emotional complexity and she is easily the strongest of them all in raw power but even her desire was simple just a home.”

“So that means considering how completely twisted the real Vlad is; that his ghost seed ghost could be really powerful?” He said speaking up picturing a second Vlad coming after him. He still remembered Jazz mentioning that Green Dani had attacked his copy at first.

“Yes, but I’m far more concerned about what kind of ghosts might emerge from that fat idiot Jack, not to mention your once helped a plant ghost take over Amity park Girlfriend.” Plasmius said with a dark scowl.

“Sam isn’t my girlfriend,” he said loudly at the same time his double said nearly the same thing. He noticed his double had said his girlfriend and turned to stare at him. His double looked away and he realized why he’d said that.

“Oh sorry Daniel I thought you knew that dear Samantha has been dating your double Green Dani told me so I thought for sure you knew.” Plasmius said smiling darkly. “It always hurts to lose the love of your life believe me I know.” Plasmius looked up wards. “I’ve given you the warning I came to give be seeing you.” He floated out through the ceiling then leaving the two of them alone.

“Danny I ..” His double stopped talking then and looked away. “I should go.” His double said and left. He looked over at the ghost hunting equipment and thought about how much he wanted to go hunt him down but instead he settled for just hurling the repaired Fenton Thermos across the room.

Family Troubles

“What’s going on Danny?” She finally came right out and asked after nearly a week of him being surly moody and angry at the world. She’d noticed things were tense between him and Sam and she hadn’t seen Ghost Danny in a while so she was worried “Please tell me what’s going on?”

“You wouldn’t understand Jazz,” He said darkly .”There is no way you can possibly understand.” He sounded so miserable that she guessed it had happened. She had been privately dreading this ever since Ghost Danny had moved into Sam’s attic.

“Sam is dating Ghost Danny isn’t she?” She said causing him to turn toward her in shock. “I was afraid this would happen.” The look of betrayal he shot her way bothered her. “I hoped he wouldn’t let it happen but I should have realized he’s as in love with her as you are.”

She saw him about to claim they weren’t in love and then he seemed even more depressed. “That’s why she picked him isn’t it he didn’t keep making excuses not to act on things.” She privately thought Danny might be right but she wasn’t going to say that. “But why pick a copy when I’m right here.”

“You won’t like what I have to say.” She had a theory that came from watching him and Sam dance around each other this last year or so. “I think on some level she’s more in love with Danny Phantom than Danny Fenton and you don’t currently have your powers.”

“Sam isn’t that shallow,” he said quickly. “Besides she knows my power loss isn’t permanent and that I’ll get them back soon enough and oh yeah I’m the real Danny Phantom.” She knew she would have to explain this carefully to him.

“I don’t mean its cause he has powers its more she’s attracted to the part of you that is Danny the Heroic part.” She hoped he could understand that. “And lately you haven’t been acting that way but Ghost Danny has.” She could see the light bulb going on for him but she decided to help. “He’s staying around to help while dealing with being a copy and how much you and Tucker want him gone.”

“Oh I guess I can see that,” Danny said sounding miserable again. “So what should I do?” She really didn’t know what to tell him so she just hugged him. “So you have no idea huh?” He said with a weak smile. It was an encouraging sign that things were going to be alright.
