Travelers Timeline One
The First Arrival

He was surprised when they didn’t appear on the look out and instead appeared outside Goten’s house. “Why are we here?” Goten said sounding slightly nervous. “I thought we would end up on the look out not at my house?” He never got a chance to answer as suddenly he had to swat a Ki ball away that was aimed at his face. He felt Goten do the same and focused in on finding whoever launched it. He was shocked to see a small dark haired girl preparing another two energy balls. She looked about five or six and while her power wasn’t super impressive it was definitely up there for a human child.

“You aren’t my brother or Trunks what are you doing here Imposters?” She declared loudly. “If you are here to hurt my mother and father I’ll kill you.” He revised his option of her strength then if she was Goten’s sister then she was frighteningly weak since even as a four year old Pan had been far ahead of that girl in power. “Akiko go back inside with your mother now,” a familiar voice said and he saw Yamcha standing there looking horrified.

“I can take these imposters daddy,” the girl said and he felt Goten freeze. Yamcha moved quickly stepping in front of her and told her to go back inside now. He expanded his senses and while he could feel most of the people from their world Goku was noticibly absent.

“How in the hell did he end up with my mom?” Goten said way to loudly as he finally got over his shock at Yamcha being his step father. “I mean really I can’t imagine how that ever...” He reached over and smacked his friend on the back of the head. “Why the hell did you do that Trunks?”

“Different world remember, your dad probably never came back to life after the Cell games here.” He saw Goten get it even as Yamcha was staring at them with a mix of curiosity, horror and more than a little fear. ChiChi was also there now staring at him in horror at what he said. “Look everyone calm down we can explain exactly what going on and we mean you no harm we didn’t chose to be here.”

“Please tell me you aren’t hear to warn us about some future catastrophe we have to train for,” Yamcha said as he seemed to be relaxing some what. He could still feel the girl rearing to fight and now that he knew she was fully human her power level was impressive again. He felt it then Gohan arriving ready to fight but he powered down slightly as he saw them but was watching them warily. He also felt another Goten and what he guessed was his own ki approaching quickly. He wondered if his dad was going to show that would just make this into an even bigger mess.

“No we aren’t,” he said and saw Yamcha relax. “Look it is a complicated story so lets all just stay clam and I can explain everything.” He glanced over at Goten who was still staring at Yamcha and his mother standing so close together with their daughter. He could clearly see a mix of confusion and apprehension on his friends face so he guessed he’d be doing the explaining.

Ten Worlds
The Return
Prologue

She hung up the phone carefully as she settled onto the edge of the bed. “So the original Kon El is back huh?” David said from behind her as he leaned up on the bed she could feel the bed shifting with his weight. “If you want to head back to your own apartment instead of spending the night here I’ll understand.” She turned to see him frowning at her. “What is it Cassie?”

“I don’t know how to face him and tell him I moved on while he was gone.” She was sure that Kon might have trouble believing that since she was involved with a clone of him even though it was the truth. “There’s also the fact that you started life as a clone of him.” The short brilliant green dyed hair of his aside his face was virtually identical to Kon’s.

“Just tell him the truth and the rest is up to him.” David said with a shrug. “He might have moved on himself while he was away.” A year ago that would have horrified her but now she really wished it would be true. “So when are you going to see him?”

“According to Kara the League has him quarantined until they are convinced it is him so it will probably be late tomorrow at the earliest.” She was actually glad as it gave her time to prepare. “I wonder how Ken is going to take it.” She hadn’t seen Doomsboy since he blew up at her a month ago when he found out she was dating David.

“I think that depends on how the original Kon El reacts to him truthfully.” David said with a frown. “If he reacts badly then Ken’s temper will get the best of him and we might have to break up a fight.” She was again reminded how the four clones who had chosen to stay involved with them had grown to think of themselves as brothers. “I’m sure it won’t be too bad.” She hoped he was right.

____

She entered the room where Connor was sitting completely at ease dressed in a pair of Clark’s old sweats. She knew his clothing was being examined by the League as they worked to confirm he really was the real Kon El back from the dead. “Hello Kara, it is really good to see you, I’ve missed you a great deal.” He said in Kryptonian which shocked her into stopping. “That’s right I speak flawless Krytonian.” He had a cocky grin on is face then just like the one she remembered seeing in photographs of his early days.

“Not completely flawless you’ve got a bit of a lower class accent.” She said teasing as she settled down across from him. “I am glad your back Connor but even after Black Zero told us a year ago that you would be coming back I have to admit I was unsure if we should believe him especially after he created the Connors.” He looked a bit confused so she elaborated. “That’s the last name the four clones of you that stuck around took, it seemed appropriate.”

“None of them are using the Superboy name are they?” He asked and she shook her head no. “Good cause I kind of miss it I mean being Nightwing had its moments but I miss how much more simple being Superboy can be.”

She really didn’t know how to reply to that so she sat silently for a moment before deciding to fill him in more on it. “Ken is going by Doomsboy and is a member of the Titans, Jeff is going by Titan and lives in Hawaii with his new wife Tana Moon.” She paused but he just motioned for her to go on seemingly okay with his clone marrying Tana. “David is going by Ultraboy and Joseph is going by Strike since the S-shield is part of his costume.”

“How are Match and Alpha doing Cir El told me that you’d be taking care of them?” He asked after a moment and she was reminded of her adopted brother and sister who had been reluctant to come with her worrying how Kon would react to them.

“Michael and Amanda are doing fine,” She said and he looked confused. “The three of us live together as the Lee siblings my new civilian name is Linda Lee.” She wondered if she should go into greater detail such as how Amanda hated civilian life and spent most of her free time out as Ultragirl while Michael actually preferred civilian life to heroing as Match. She decided instead to ask him what she really wanted to know. “Did you see my parents on that alternate Krypton?”

“Yeah I did,” He said and then seemed to remember something. “Oh I’ve got some messages for you from the alternate version of your parents, Clark’s parents and even yourself but you’ll have to wait till the league gets done examining them.” She hadn’t expected that and even though she knew they weren’t technically her parents she wanted to see those messages. He then looked toward the door. “Excuse me Tim is here,” He said getting up and heading to the door.

She started to call for him to wait to let her unlock the door but he just waved his hand over it the controls and it opened. “I’ve gotten very good at breaking in with my TK,” He said as he stepped out. “Tim,” He called happily and she saw Robin actually smile and hug Kon something she hadn’t seen in ages. She hung back noticing that others were doing the same not wanting to intrude on the happy moment.

Ominous Developments

He was still getting used to being around these people but he got the impression something was bothering Rachel Grey. He didn’t know her very well at all but her demeanor had changed slightly from when he met her in that other world. He did notice that everyone else seemed to be feeling better especially Iceman now that he was flesh and blood again.

“I’m back from absorbing the dupe they caught,” Madrox said sounding worried. “I hated doing that.” He wondered at why the man was so against absorbing his own duplicates it seemed like just a side effect of his power. “Also there is something you all should probably know that Dupe I accidently made was vindictive and told Daken everything he knew about all of us while they were in the brig together.”

“Maybe Sam should have another talk with Angel and see if we can’t make sure Daken stays in the brig until we leave,” Gambit proposed but Sam immediately shook his head clearly still angry over whatever he and ArchAngel discussed. “Or perhaps Rachel should do it.”

“Sage has asked to see me tomorrow so I’ll bring it up then,” Rachel said and he noticed they had no idea who really ran Freedom City they knew Sage and Angel had some level of authority but other than that no idea.

“Don’t you think we should find out who is in charge over all here?” He volunteered. “I mean we don’t have any idea who runs things here?” He got the impression they weren’t that concerned. “I mean aren’t you all even worried?”

“Rachel and I have done a surface scan there isn’t anything threatening we can find but there is no reason for us to go digging deeper unless we have to,” Nate said shaking his head. “So far this world has been mostly peaceful and there is no guarantee the other worlds will be so we should rest while we can.” He supposed he understood that.

“If you all will excuse me I’m going to go get a drink to forget all about having to destroy one of my fellow Dupes,” Madrox said standing up and walking out of the room. He watched him go confused and saw the others exchanging worried glances. He wondered if he should be worried about this development.

The End.

The Power Source

“Where are you taking me Sage,” she asked warily she didn’t want to see any more secrets the ones from the last world and her encounter with the ghost weighed heavily on her mind all ready. Sage said nothing and led her into a strange room where a large glowing blue Crystal sat in the middle of some extremely complex machinery. She noticed the crystal was cracking then and the technicians working looked alarmed.

“This is the power source for the entire City it was made by Tony Stark before he died by harnessing the potential of the terrigen mist crystals.” Sage said looking at it. “No one here has the skill to mend the crystal but I believe using your talents you can do so.” Sage pointed it out. “You can use your psychometry and chronal skimming to see how the crystal should look and then telekinetically fuse it back into proper shape.”

“I don’t know if I have the fine control do that,” She admitted. She could agree with Sage in theory that she could do it but theory and reality were two different things this wasn’t putting a fallen building back together. “I don’t think I should even try.”

“I am not asking you to do it now,” Sage said shaking her head. “I am asking you to try on your last day here because in the interim we have to get temporary power generators up in case you can’t fix it.” Sage then looked disturbed. “If you can’t fix it then we will have to consider returning to Earth eventually.”

“I’ll try to fix it,” She said feeling guilty. “On one condition keep Daken locked up in the brig until after we leave.” She hadn’t had a chance to bring up their worry. “The dupe of Madrox you caught told him everything about us before he was absorbed.”

“I will make the necessary arrangements.” Sage said and he she got the impression that he wouldn’t have been released at all while they were hear and Sage was just playing along to ensure her cooperation. “Shall I accompany you back to your quarters?”

“I know the way,” She said and headed out into the hall. As she was walking the creature fell into step beside her this time in the form of an old woman. “Will you let them leave if I can’t repair the crystal?”

“No, I’ll simply allow one of the techs to suddenly be inspired to make another and show them where more crystals lay.” The creature said. “You should be able to fix it without any help from me though.” The creature was gone then and she was left with the knowledge that no matter what happened the folks were going to be staying on the moon and she couldn’t say anything.

To Forget

He sat alone drinking from the bottle of unidentified liquor as he tired to forget absorbing the other dupe. The worst part was that he knew that most of his fellow dupes never cared if you absorbed them or not but for some uncontrollable reason he was terrified of being absorbed and so far it seemed most of the dupes he created shared that fear. “Drinking won’t really help you forget before you jump in a few moments,” Rachel said and he turned toward her and frowned. She didn’t look right she was older, transparent and had marks on her face. “I’m Mother Askani not your Rachel.”

“Why are you bothering me,” He said as her presence was cutting through the pleasant haze of alcohol in his system. “Can’t you just leave me alone to forget all about how I killed that dupe.” She shook her head and placed her transparent hands on his temples and suddenly he couldn’t remember any of the Dupes memories. “You made me forget, Thank you.” He had no idea why she’d helped him but he was glad.

“You can thank me by going to save the Rachel traveling with you,” she said grimly. “Daken has escaped and is on his way to kill her before you and the others jump you’re the only one close enough.” He saw in his minds eye how to get there and stood up wishing his was more clear headed.

He left the alcohol store house and took off down the hall toward where he knew Rachel was pausing just for a second to create a dupe. “Go get the others,” he said and then took off back down the hall. He made his way shakily to the door and then burst in to see Daken holding Rachel by the throat with an inhibitor collar on her neck. “Leave her alone.” He yelled and tried to grab him but the man just through him off and he sailed through the air to crash into a blue crystal and then it was just pain and blackness as he forgot everything.

Attack before Departure

She stood with her eyes closed as she repaired the crystal that acted as the power source for this entire facility. She pulled back once she was done and relaxed. “There Sage your crystal is restored.” She could feel the bands beginning to appear again they would be leaping soon. “I hope you can take it from here.”

Sage never got to answer as the door crashed open and Daken ran in throwing out two devices one wrapped around Sage’s neck the other around her own. She felt her powers turn off as Daken laid out Sage with a well placed kick. “Now your mine,” he said landing in front of her and grabbing her by her collared throat. “My father died before I could prove I was better but I can use you to prove it when I send you back to him with a ruined face.” He then frowned as he stared at her face. “Looks like someone already ruined it but I can make it worse.”

Her hound marks must be showing without her power to keep them masked. “Let go of her,” Madrox said as he suddenly burst in. She was dropped by Daken and watched in horror as he threw Madrox into the crystal. His scream was unnatural and his body contorted as if was made of rubber.

“Now where was I,” Daken said reaching for her but instantly she was falling through Time again and she realized that Madrox’s intervention had saved her face those split seconds kept her from being maimed.

As Time realigned it self into a new form she felt a push from someone that changed where they’d emerge. She opened her eyes to see Ben Grimm staring at her in shock. She immediately looked at Madrox who looked awful. “Is Reed Richards here maybe he can save Jamie,” She said calling him by his first name for the first time.

“I am Reed Richards I will do what I can for your friend and then you can tell me how you all got here,” He said lifting Jaime and heading out of the room. She looked over at the others and saw they were just as confused.

“Let me get you out of that Rachel,” Gambit said walking over to her and pulling out a lock pick. “What happened?” He asked as he worked so she began to tell them about Daken’s attack and Jamie buying her a few seconds for the time travel to start.

At that moment several dozen people burst in looking around in confusion at their presence. She got the impression that this was the strangest possible future yet and she wasn’t sure it was going to be any better than the last two.

Disclaimer:X-men belongs to marvel I am just borrowing the characters and concepts for my own and possibly the enjoyment of other fans please don’t sue.

Notes: This is set in a universe where Scott never met Madelyne Pryor and instead took his father up on his offer to go into space with the Starjammers. This is set at a future point when Scott is finally told that Jean is back alive just after this world’s version of the Muir Island Saga.

This Takes place after sleepless night during Scott’s arrival on Earth.

The Homecoming
Part 1 of 10
Charles Xavier

He could feel his various X-men’s agitation as they awaited the landing of the ship that was brining Scott home at last to arrive. He noticed Wolverine turning his head and reached out sensing the arrival of some members of X-factor in their jet. He wasn’t surprised to see that Alex and Rogue had come alone leaving the rest of the team behind in Washington. He also sensed there was something they were both trying not to think about around the telepaths in the mansion. He respected their privacy enough not to pry and he hoped Psylocke would as well.

He still didn’t understand how the Siege Perilous had fused the original Rogue with the imprint of Carol Danvers she carried in her mind. He also did not understand how that had granted her control over her powers but it had. He wondered if it had something to do with the two women working together so well before they were hurled into it. He watched the X-men exchanging greetings when he sensed it someone thinking directly at him. “Professor, can you tell me the gate code my dad and I are out side.” He sent the gate code wondering how Scott had gotten so close to the Mansion without being sensed.

“Everyone Scott and Corsair are here,” He said drawing their attention. “They are coming up the drive now.” He could feel Elizabeth reaching out with her mind and finding nothing. He wondered how Scott was blocking scans because after the brief conversation he couldn’t read him either. He reached out for Corsair and could sense him clearly but whenever the motorcycle he was riding got to close to Scott’s it became fuzzy. He knew there was technology out in space that could shield a person from telepaths but he was surprised to see Scott employing it.

He took in the differences in Scott’s appearance as he pulled off the helmet and with his eyes closed put his glasses back on. He wondered how Scott had found a helmet that had a built in visor. Scott looked a great deal different the longer hair the wardrobe that looked more suited to a motorcycle rally than what he wore when he was with the X-men He was also curious where the bike had even come from they looked like normal Earth bikes but he wasn’t completely sure. He could sense how those that knew Scott were wary because of how different he looked and those that didn’t know him were watching the others reactions. Scott seemed unconcerned as he walked back to the bike and hit a button causing it and his helmet to shrink down into a small metal tube.

He watched as Corsair did the same and hand the second tube over to Scott who put both in his pocket. Hank of course got over his reluctance when he saw that and immediately began asking questions about where they came from and the technology involved. “Hank that’s enough you can question Scott about various Technologies he’s got with him.” He could see some of the others smiling fondly at Hank who looked embarrassed. “Scott if you don’t mind I’d like to talk to you alone in my office and then you can mingle with the others.” He cold sense everyone’s shock at his statement but he’d known he would have to do this ever since he felt the jammer.

As he led Scott to his new office he noticed that Scott was beginning to look a bit more like the Scott he knew in the way he carried himself. It was the way of walking Scott had always adopted before a nasty confrontation and that worried him. Once they reached his office he made his way behind the desk still getting used to his new hover chairs controls it wasn’t as easy it should have been. He noticed Scott wasn’t sitting as he would have in the old days but instead standing in the corner looking more like Logan than he expected. “Scott I want to ask you to turn off the psychic jammer.”

“Not happening Professor,” Scott said as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Me asking you for the code was the only psychic contact we will be having while I’m here.” He recognized the defiant setting to Scott’s shoulders and wondered where this hostility was coming from. “Why do you even want inside my head?”

“I have to make sure you haven’t been brainwashed.” He admitted and Scott didn’t look surprised. “You disappeared out there in a very large galaxy for months and you refused to contact me at all despite multiple attempts.” He knew the X-men had many enemies out there in space and he wouldn’t put it past them to use Scott or replace him to harm them.

“I’ll let Jean scan my mind, or even Elizabeth but you aren’t going near my head.” He said uncrossing his arms and walking to lean over the desk. He found it slightly intimidating to have someone standing over him who’s mind he couldn’t touch. “Now if you’ll excuse me there are people I came to see.” He got the implication Scott wasn’t here to see him but before he could react Scott was already out the door.

After a moment he followed after him to see Scott was walking back into the rec room where the rest of the X-men had gathered. “Scott, wait a moment you need to tell me what I’ve done to make you distrust me so much?” He called after him. “You never would have feared allowing me into your head even just a few months ago.” He could sense the X-men’s shock at that statement.

“I know the truth about Krakoa, Professor,” Scott said turning back with as sneer on his face. He could only stare in horror at Scott as the full implication of that hit him. “So Professor if you still think I’m possibly brainwashed then I’ll let Jean or Elizabeth scan me to make sure but I won’t ever allow you back in my head again.” He could understand Scott’s anger now and reluctantly nodded his head. He could see the X-men were looking confused and he wondered if Scott would tell them. “You can let the rest of them know what you did Professor but I have to be the one to tell Alex and my dad.” Scott looked over at them. “Can we talk on your jet Alex?”

The Homecoming
Part 2 of 10
Alex Summers

He grabbed Rogue’s hand as they left the main room to head to their jet. He could tell Scott and his dad were curious so he quickly added, “She’s family.” He wasn’t going to explain that they were planning to have a quiet wedding at the court house while Scott was here.

He was glad that neither Scott or his father pressed the issue since he wasn’t convinced now was a good time to discuss the news they’d had recently. Once they were in the jet and the door was closed he saw Scott fiddling with his watch and then he looked back up as if he was having trouble deciding where to start. “Just tell us what’s going on son,” their dad said patiently.

“The whole thing starts when one of my crew a low level telepath noticed some of my memories had been altered.” Scott said with a frown. “They couldn’t undo the alteration they weren’t that powerful but they could tell me which memories had been altered.” He looked away then. “So I found a telepath who could undo the alteration.”

“Krakoa didn’t release me a team of X-men sent before the new Team Xavier recruited got me free but two of them were killed and two were left behind seriously injured.” He looked even grimmer as he went on. “Krakoa may have been sapient, I’m not sure, but it was definitely Xavier’s manipulation that made us think it had released me.”

“Were they still on the island when it was sent into space?” He asked he could feel Rogue squeezing his hand. She hadn’t been a member of the X-men then but she knew all about the story. Scott nodded in response. “We killed two X-men and the Professor let us do it?”

“It is worse than you think Alex, one of the two X-men left behind on Krakoa was our brother Gabriel.” He looked over at his dad to see real shock. “I’m sorry to have to tell you this Dad but Mom was pregnant when the two of you were taken by the Shiar.” Scott went on woodenly as if he was discussing a mission. “The embryo was removed from her and stored for further study since it had unusual genetic markers.” He glanced over at Rogue to see she looked ready to cry at this.

“How did you learn all this?” His father asked then since Scott was taking a break. “Is this why you ignored Xavier’s attempts to contact you for so long?” Scott nodded his head and seemed lost in thought.

“I learned a lot of things during that time including that we have another brother who isn’t your son dad.” Scott said apologetically. “When they realized the mutant potential in mom’s dna D’ken had a hybrid child bred.” He could see how much that revelation rocked their father. “But I’ll get to him later I need to tell you the rest before you meet Gabriel.” He knew he was staring but Scott just said their brother was alive. His dad and Rogue were also staring. “I went to Krakoa and found him alive in suspended animation some how and took him to a doctor who managed to revive him and separate his fellow X-man Darwin out of him.” It sounded like a miracle but one look at Scott’s face showed things hadn’t turned out well. “I don’t know if it was being trapped like that or what but he came out of it unstable he attacked me for abandoning him and killed several members of my crew we disabled him and my crew wanted him dead but I refused.” Scott looked grim. “The survivors of my crew knocked me out after that and had the Doctor perform a specialized lobotomy on him that destroyed his ability to ever use his powers.” He seemed lost in thought. “After that I tracked down our half brother and brought Darwin, Gabriel and Adam to Earth and left them with our grand parents.” Scott looked undecided. “Gabriel needed time to recover from everything so I’ve been keeping things quiet I was planning to tell you both as soon as I could get you both alone but Xavier forced me to speed things up.”

He got up then and headed to the controls. “We’re going to Alaska,” He said careful to keep his anger at his brother once again trying to handle everything himself without telling anyone. “Rogue let the X-men and X-factor know we have family business and will be away for a while.” She nodded and went to let the others know. He looked over at his dad who was sitting there in silence and at Scott who was glancing out the window at the mansion.
